Sorry I got off the blogging wagon with the holiday season! I figured this was a good post to start with because the most common style question I get pretty much on a daily basis is “What can I wear to work?”
Introducing: “Work Wear Wednesday!”
I’m going to try & do at least 2 of these a month for all my working girls out there! And while I know you girls want some suit ideas, which I promise I will get to, I think a striped shirt-dress is the perfect way to expand your office/work-day wardrobe.
A few styling tips:
While this dress looks great on it’s own, try pairing it with a solid blazer or sweater. Switch up the belt to something with a bit more structure like a leather, suede or studded version to make it a bit more business & a little less casual.
It also looks really cool when you belt the dress a little higher on your waist OVER a blazer/sweater. Trust me, you’ll be the chic-est person in the office! (The sweater works better with a dress that isn’t off the shoulder.)
As far as shoes go, I love a good block heel, but this look works equally well with flats or booties. Why not try some tights or fishnets too!
Add a structured satchel, briefcase or handbag & you’re ready to take on the world!
