Happy Tuesday everyone! The weather here in California has kept me bundled up the last few days so I figured it was the perfect time to talk about layering your clothes in a fun and exciting way. I have always been a girl who loves to pile on the layers when it comes to styling outfits. Winter cool weather makes it easy to integrate several layers into one look. I enjoy pulling outfits together that tell a story. For example, I like that this look is a bit country but also has a strong rock & roll vibe. Don’t be afraid to mix it up, try something new and experiment. Fashion should be fun!
Style Tip #1:
If you’re not sure where to start, try sticking to a color family/palette which will help tie your look together. Neutrals are one of the easiest ways to accomplish this in a snap. I focused on black & grey tones for this outfit. My plaid vest shines because it is the only cream & patterned piece of clothing I am wearing. If you want a specific piece to standout, try this method.
Style Tip #2:
Mixing different textures and patterns not only adds interest to your outfit, it can give some of your most loved pieces a new look entirely. My outfit contains fringe, velvet, suede & beading. So again ,I say, mix it up.
