Street Chic (November)

I love a good graphic tee. In fact, it’s probably the singular piece of clothing you can count on me wearing several days a week. Most of the time my t-shirt picks are guaranteed to be either sarcastic, humorous (sometimes both) or a band tee. Junk Food Clothing is a top pick for good graphic options. The sleeveless ragland I’m wearing is a personal longtime love. I can always count on their t-shirts staying soft and comfortable. Which you definitely want for the day to day routine and let’s be honest, it doesn’t hurt that it’s cute! I highly recommend you peruse  junkfoodclothing.com. (I currently want this tank this band tee.) Junk Food offers something for everyone in the family and I have to say, while I don’t have any children myself, the kids line is super-duper adorable. You’ll find their tops and loungewear at several major department stores like Nordstrom and Macy’s as well as discounted stores like The Rack and Marshall’s, so if you don’t like to shop online it is still easy to locate in stores.

My grey wide brimmed hat was a splurge from Rag & Bone that I picked up while in Canada. (I had birthday money from family burning a hole in my pocket.) I have already worn this felted wool fedora a dozen times or so. I personally believe well made hats are a good investment. With proper care they can last a lifetime. Bonus: it can make you look chic on a bad hair day! Rag & Bone sells a brown version as well. It looks so cool! When Nordstrom does their annual shopping event for the holidays it may or may not be a struggle to keep out of my basket.

Fun Story (actually it wasn’t fun at all,)I accidentally left my hat in the Uber I took to the airport at 6 in the morning and thank the high heavens for my Uber driver whom was nice enough to turn around and drive the 25 minutes back to me so we could be reunited. That man was a saint!

Now let’s talk about this tailored jacket from Blank NYC.  As I previously mentioned, because I was traveling, I looked for pieces that I could switch up and this faux leather biker has zippers on the bottom that removes a few inches on the sides. I love it that way when I’m wearing a dress. Shop my jacket here.
